Hi, I'm Katie Bryant!

I create colorful art to add joy to your day. This includes whimsical designs of flowers, landscapes, animals, and a few more flowers! Whether it's acrylic paint and oil pastels on canvas or watercolor and colored pencil on paper, I love creating fun-filled, textured pieces.

I make art prints of my original artwork and offer various products with my designs as well as the digital artwork I make on my iPad.

My work is inspired by the chaos and beauty in nature as well as nostalgia for childhood stories and imagined worlds. My goal with my art is to evoke feelings of warmth and happiness. The world needs more whimsy and silliness and I intend to be that reminder.

I am the artist and full-time business owner behind KT's Canvases! I design, create, photograph, market and ship the items you see here! This all started in 2013 as a hobby, but God had a career plan instead and fueled my passion for business and creativity.

After building my business throughout high school, I found myself with a full time job painting custom work and pet portraits upon graduation. It took me a year to figure out that I didn't have to or want to go to college when I already had my dream job. I'm so thankful that this is what I get to do for a living.

My family has always supported me, especially my mom, Kelli who packs orders with me and manages emails. I couldn’t do this without them! In 2020, I got an office space to store inventory and ship prints and everything on my website from.

You'll find me most days painting outside or in my backyard studio with my cats, Batman and Violet, and connecting with everyone on Instagram and Tik Tok (@ktscanvases) by making videos of my art process. It has been commented many times that people come for the art and stay for the silly nonsense I ramble while painting.

I do this because I truly love creating, and I believe it's my purpose to share and connect with others through funny art videos and painting. As I’ve continued and grown with this business, I’ve seen how God can use something as simple as my art to reach so many people and build community while inspiring others to use their creativity. I am so passionate about removing the pressure to be perfect when creating and showing that it should be fun. My creativity and everything I have comes from him, and I’m thankful to be able to share it.

You might see the name Ella in many of my painting titles and posts. Ella is my cat that I got when I was 7 who passed away at 20 years old in July 2025. She’s part of me always and I didn’t want her to be forgotten. I started including her in every painting as a way to keep her present in my life, whether she is the star of the painting or hidden in the abstract background. It mirrors how my grief and her absence is sometimes the only thing on my mind, but other times hiding in the quiet. She loved being outside and painting with me in my lap or on the swing. She kept me company while painting since I first put brush to canvas.

It only makes sense that Ella has brought new meaning to my art. The whimsy and freedom of childhood inspires me endlessly and Ella is that for me. I had the privilege of growing up with her and being chosen by her and I’m thankful. I’ll continue to honor her life for the rest of mine.
